Welcome FTR Conference Attendees

The FTR conference is September 11-13, 2018.
Below is important information to help you prepare for the conference.


Important things to note

1) Download Event App

You can download the event app to your phone, or view it in the browser.

Accessing the Event App
Login is required.

  • To login please use the email address you used to register for the conference.

If you are having problems with the app, please email conference@ftrintel.com

You can view the full list of attendees and schedule meetings directly from the app. You can also create your own agenda and view speaker information.

2) Determine When to Arrive

Please be aware that we have added Tuesday morning Transportation 101 sessions and will continue with Freightology sessions Tuesday afternoon. These sessions are supplemental to the conference and are included in your conference registration.

3) Book your hotel room

The Crowne Plaza is fully booked and hotels in downtown Indianapolis are filling up fast. Please book your hotel room soon.


Basics of the conference

Meeting Attire: Conference dress is business casual. Please wear what makes you feel most comfortable.  We recommend bringing a sweater or coat to adjust with the temperature of the conference room.  Due to the size of the room, the temperature can fluctuate. We have had comments about getting cold on occasion.

Reception Attire: It’s time to relax and have a good time. If you would like to change out of your business casual that is fine.

Presentation Materials: All conference materials will be available via the FTR Conference Event App. Presentations will be located under each session.

Redistribution and Use of Conference Materials:   This is a private meeting.  Press is allowed, however, the information to be provided is for your internal company use.  You may discuss the general content of the meeting with clients but you may not quote any of the presenters unless you have prior approval from both FTR and the presenter.

FTR Conference Event App for Smart Phones/Tablets/Computers: In an effort to streamline communications with conference attendees, you will be invited to download the official conference App.  You can access agenda, attendee information, event/session details, speaker bios, presentations, and more.

Network/Marketing Tables: Tables are available to place marketing materials. Feel free to bring materials about your company to share. Materials can be delivered to the Crowne Plaza – for instructions email Melissa Younger at myounger@ftrintel.com.

Activities

Golf: If you are signed up to golf, you will receive a confirmation Friday morning before the conference on pairings. Those requiring transportation to the golf course will meet in the lobby of the Crowne Plaza at 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 11th. Please contact Melissa Younger (myounger@ftrintel.com) to sign-up for transportation services.

3 or 5 mile Run or 2 mile Walk: Join FTR CEO Eric Starks on Wednesday and Thursday mornings for a run along the Indianapolis Canal – bring your running shoes! Or join FTR VP of Customer Relations Helen Lile for a 2 mile walk (ending at Starbucks!). If you chose a size for your complimentary running shirt during registration, you may pick them up at the Conference registration table. 

Locations to Note

Registration: Located in the Union Station Grand Hall lobby – stop by for your packet and information.

Hospitality Suite:  Located in the New York room.  The hospitality room will be open on Tuesday from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Wednesday from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and Thursday from 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM. The hospitality room will feature alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and good conversation.

Media/Speaker Room: Located in the Illinois Central, this room is only available for media and presenters/speakers to provide dedicated workspace and charging stations.

Customer Relations Counter: Located at the counter directly across from the Grand Hall entrance, this is where attendees can ask questions about their current subscriptions, learn more about FTR services, or schedule 1-on-1 meetings with FTR experts. Customer Relations representatives will be available to help facilitate your needs.

Opening Reception: Located at the Grand Hall bar in the Union Station on Tuesday, September 11th.

Night at the Pavilion: Our premier networking event will consist of dinner at the Pavilion at Pan Am, followed by an exciting lineup of casino style games and entertainment fit for all. This is a must attend networking event!

Breakfast and Lunch:  All meals will be served in the Conference Center Exhibit Hall, right outside the Grand Hall.

Session Locations: Sessions will be held in the Grand Hall and Illinois Street Ballrooms of the Crowne Plaza.

The FTR Products & Service Room: Located in the Wabash Room, just off of the exhibit hall. The FTR room will be available to all attendees to view and demo the new FTR IntelCast platform and for scheduled 1-on-1 meetings with FTR staff and experts.

Time Zone: Indianapolis is on Eastern Daylight Time – so if you are traveling be aware of the time difference.
