Are there plans to cancel the FTR Transportation Conference?

Our annual FTR Transportation Conference is set to kick off on September 15 in Indianapolis. Rest assured that FTR remains diligent in ensuring that the safety and security of our attendees, staff and operational personnel remain the top priority.

Given that the event is nearly six months away, FTR currently has no plans to cancel or postpone the FTR Transportation Conference as a result of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. As we move ahead with planning and implementing the programming for the FTR Transportation Conference, FTR will continue to place high importance on facilitating measures that will ensure optimal health and sanitary conditions for everyone onsite during the event.

FTR is monitoring the effects of COVID-19 on the meeting and event industry and is monitoring guidance from global, federal, state and local health officials, like the World Health Organization and Centers for Disease Control. We also are in communication with the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Bureau concerning their ongoing experience and advice.

Would the FTR Transportation Conference be postponed to a later date in 2020?

At this time, we have no plans to make any adjustments to the FTR Transportation Conference schedule. We will post updates as soon as they are available. 

What happens if the FTR Transportation Conference is canceled? How would refunds be reimbursed?

Event cancellation by FTR
FTR reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. Cancellation of an event will be at the sole discretion of FTR. If FTR cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, FTR has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date. FTR will not be responsible for reimbursement of any participant’s expenses related to the cancellation or postponement of an event.

Registration Cancellations 
The deadline to request a refund for your registration is the “Refund Deadline” date listed in the Important Dates section of the FTR Transportation Conference website located at https://www.ftrconference.com/registration/terms/

Registration cancellations received prior to the refund deadline may be eligible to receive a refund less a $200 service fee. Cancellations will be accepted by email only and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline. Send any and all cancellation emails to conference@ftrintel.com.

The following items are NOT eligible for a refund:

  • New Client Bundle registration or products
  • Golf Fees

Cancellation requests received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund. No shows for an event will not receive a refund or credit towards future event(s). All refund requests must be made by the registered attendee or credit card holder and include the name of the attendee and/or transaction number. Refunds will be issued via the original payment method used or by check, no later than thirty (30) days after cancellation has been approved. Cancellation requests will only be accepted via email to conference@ftrintel.com

Substitution Policy 
Substitution of registration (same type: member/non-member) is permitted. Only one substitution is permitted per original registrant with written consent. The individual submitting the substitution request is responsible for all financial obligations associated with that substitution as well as updating any contact/demographic information. Please email substitution requests to conference@ftrintel.com.  FTR will attempt to update event materials to reflect substitutions of attendees, but we do not guarantee the timeliness or completeness of such updates.

Can my registration transfer to the 2021 FTR Transportation Conference?

At this time, we have no plans to make any adjustments to the FTR Transportation Conference schedule. However, if we decide to cancel this event, our staff will work with attendees to see what best fits their situation, including a possible transfer of fees to the 2021 FTR Transportation Conference.
