Mr. Hancock is executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Kansas City Southern (KCS) (NYSE: KSU), responsible for sales, marketing, customer solutions and business development activities. Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, KCS is a transportation holding company that has railroad investments in the U.S., Mexico and Panama. KCS’ North American rail holdings and strategic alliances are primary components of a railway network, linking the commercial and industrial centers of the U.S., Mexico and Canada.
Prior to joining KCS, Hancock was vice president global supply chain for Whirlpool Corporation. Earlier in his career, he served as vice president and general manager at Schneider National, a privately-held transportation and logistics leader. More recently, he served as president – North America for The Martin – Brower Company, L.L.C., as well as senior vice president of supply chain for Family Dollar Stores, Inc.
Hancock is a past member of the board of directors for the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and currently serves on the Marriott School National Advisory Council at Brigham Young University.
He is a certified public accountant with a master’s degree in business from Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University.
