As advanced technology marketing manager for Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA), Greg Treinen is responsible for directing development and execution of communications, customer & dealer education activities, and market leadership strategies for DTNA’s advanced vehicle technology efforts, which include electrification, automated driving, and connectivity. Appointed to this role in early 2018, Mr. Treinen is responsible for educating the market regarding how DTNA’s efforts in product innovation and new technology development can help deliver customer value and improve driver & highway safety.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Treinen worked as sales and marketing manager in DTNA’s connectivity organization. Prior to that, he spent five years in Freightliner Trucks marketing, serving as the product marketing segment manager for vocational, medium duty & alternate fuels. Mr. Treinen has also served as lead market planning analyst for DTNA, where he was responsible for developing the company market and internal sales volume forecasts, plus market analysis and market research.
Mr. Treinen has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Oregon and a masters of business administration (MBA) degree from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the highest recognition a business student can receive in a business program accredited by AACSB International.
