Kristen Monaco is Associate Commissioner in the Office of Compensation and Working Conditions at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
From 2014 to 2016, Kristen served as Research Chief in the Office of Compensation and Working Conditions, overseeing research related to the national compensation survey, occupational safety and health statistics, and occupational requirements survey. Prior to joining the federal workforce, she was on the faculty in the department of economics at California State University Long Beach and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Kristen has Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Dr. Monaco is the author of many publications covering wages and working conditions, with a specific focus on transportation labor markets.
