Mike Cammisa is President of Michael Cammisa Consulting, LLC, advising automotive and trucking industry clients on regulatory and policy issues related to emerging automotive technologies. Mike has over 20 years’ experience in the area of transportation policy, working with truck and passenger vehicle manufacturers, vehicle component and technology suppliers, federal regulators, state DOTs, and other stakeholders to shape the regulatory framework for connected and automated vehicles. Prior to launching his consulting firm, Mike was the Vice President for Safety Policy, Connectivity & Technology for the American Trucking Associations (ATA), where he worked with members to develop ATA’s first Automated Truck Policy. Prior to joining ATA, Mike served as Senior Director for Safety and Connected Vehicles at the Association of Global Automakers, where he worked for 16 years. Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Virginia, a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University.
